Early Literacy Classes with Miss Tami

Join us for creative movement, song, dance, fingerplays, and more. Parents will have the opportunity to engage one on one with their little one, meet other parents and give their child a chance to play with other.


  • Baby and Me (Babies ages Newborn to 24 mnths) at 10:45 a.m.


  • Toddler and Me (ages 2-5) starts at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. 
  • Story Hour (ages 2-5) is at 10:30 a.m.

Dinosaur Day with Paleo Joe

Saturday, February 10th @ 1pm Author, Storyteller,, and Paleontologist Paleo Joe introduces animals, plants and creatures that have been extinct for millions of years. He will bring dinosaurs to life with a T-rex tooth, velociraptor skull. And a variety of Amazing fossils. Don’t miss out on this exciting adventure. For ages 5 and Up.

Storytime @ the Storyhouse
Every Wednesday

October 4 - December 27  at 6:00 p.m. Ages 2-6. Come and join Miss Cassandra at the library’s Storyhouse for books, songs and finger plays.  Their will be a special guest reader each week from the Bridgman High School.

Puppies And Pages

October 4-December 27th  Call the library 465-3663 to make an appointment with our reading service dog please  Appointments begin at every Wednesday avaliabliy subject to change 5:00, 5:15, 5:30, or 5:50 p.m.  

Puppies and Pages is a reading program for children who enjoy practicing reading and dogs. The child will practice reading skills in a comfortable environment to a certified service dog. 

Sleepy Hollow

Saturday, October 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Bridgman High School - Bridgman Performing Arts Center

Join us for a theatrical performance of Legend of Sleepy Hollow by GreatWorks Theatre Company on Saturday, October 28 at 1:30 pm at the Bridgman Performing Arts Center.  This goofy and spooky show is fun for all ages.  Free tickets will be available at the library and for students at Bridgman Public Schools.

Stop Motion for Beginners

Saturday, January 13, 2018 @ 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  Grade 2-8

Learn how to create a short stop motion movie. During this two hour program, you will create a story, make a set and film your story frame by frame.  You'll need a google device and a google account to download the app. All films will be shown on the Bridgman Library's Youtube Channel.

Halloween Party

Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Come to the Bridgman Public Library for a family friendly, ‘Spook’tacular event! Enjoy games, activities, and treats. Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory.

Ken s Balloons

Saturday, November 11 at 1-2 p.m.

Ken will take you through the twists and turns of making balloon art. Follow his step by step process to make a couple balloon animals. For grades 2nd-6th. Space is limited, so please register at the front desk.

Holiday Hijinks

Saturday, December 30 at 1 p.m.

Help Edmund the Elf unlock the chest that contains Santa’s hat in this escape room scenario. You and your teammates will need to solve a series of puzzles to gain clues that will unveil the passcode to the chest. For grades 2nd-6th. Space is limited, so please register at the front desk.
