This week the Friends of the Bridgman Public Library are offering small giveaways to patrons (new items added throughout the week) and a raffle drawing for both adults and children to celebrate National Friends of the Library Week. They will have a table set up by The Book Shoppe.
So come on over, grab your freebie, enter the raffles and consider joining this great group!
The Friends of the Bridgman Library (FOBL) is an organization with 501c3 Non-Profit status. Its purpose is to unite people who are committed to enriching the services and activities of the Bridgman Public Library.
The FOBL raises money through memberships and fundraisers. The Membership Drive takes place in June of each year. Annual fundraisers are the Community-Wide Garage Sale and the Annual Used Book Sale. Other fundraisers may be organized during the course of the year.
The FOBL also operates a "gently used" Book Shoppe within the Library. Available items include hardcover and paperback books for both children and adults, used CDs, DVDs and audio books. The Book Shoppe is open whenever the Library is open.
Funds raised by the FOBL support special projects and fund many programs for the community.
